 Caesalpinia bonducella is a perennial,important medicinal tree belongs to the family of caesalpinioideae.It grows in subtropical climate up to 15 M height.It is a traditional medicine using in alternative system of Indian medicines like Siddha,Ayurveda,Naturopathy,Homeopathy and Home remedies since thousands of years in India.
 The whole tree contains lots of medicinal and curative properties.All parts of this tree (seeds,roots, barks,leaves,nuts ) is used to cure many diseases.
Common name of this nuts are  grey nicker,fever nut, kalarchchikai in Tamil,Bonduc nut in English, Putikaranja in Sanskirit,karanja in Urudhu.kalanchi in Malayalam,karanjwa in Hindi,in chinesh hua nanyun shiin Chinesh.
Nutrients presents in this bonduc nuts are alkaloids,bonducin,caffeic acid.
This nuts taste bitter,astringent and pungent.
Bonduc nuts contains antidiabetic,antipyretic,adaptogenic,analgesic,anthelmintic,
anti diarrhoeal properties.
Bonduc nuts are having hard shells. 
To use this nuts remove the shells and make it powder or you can get this seed powder from herbal stores.
Dosage and Duration for intake
Take 2 to 3 grams of banduc nut powder with one teaspoon of honey or take it with 100 ml of milk and palm sugar (or)
take one glass of buttermilk add a pinch of salt and asafoetida.
Have it twice a day before food continuously for 3 months
