The world diabetes day  is celebrated  every year November 14 th since 1991 by  the International Diabetes Federation and recognized by the World Health Organization and the United Nations. The day aims to raise diabetes awareness globally. The theme of the  world diabetes day 2016 is “Eyes on diabetes” and focuses around screening, diagnosis, and treatment to reduce the complications of type 2 diabetes .90 %of the people are having type 2 diabetes in the world population . Nearly 415 million adults worldwide living with diabetes .More than 93 million adults are  currently living with diabetes have diabetic retinopathy.Early detection and timely treatment of diabetic retinopathy can prevent vision loss and reduce the impact of diabetes on individuals, Prevention is better than cure so you should take proper measures of prevention .
