Strychnos Nuxvomica is medicinal tree native to India and Southeast Asia,belongs to the family of Loganiaceae.It is a deciduous,medium sized tree ,grows open in habitats.It is also known as Nuxvomica,Poison nut, Semen strychnos,Ettikkottai ,Ettitree, and Quaker buttons.
The flowers are in green color, small and  funnel shape. They bloom in the cold season and have foul smell.The fruit are like apple size with a smooth and hard shell which when ripened is a mild shade of orange color.The flesh of the fruit is soft and white with a jelly like pulp containing five seeds covered with a soft woolly substances.Seeds are flattened disk shape ,very hard with a dark gray horny endosperm it gives no odor but possess a very bitter taste.

Spigelia anthelmia is a common weed of South America belongs to the family of Loganiaceae.It is also called pink root,worm weed,worm grain and worm grass. It is an annual plant growing up to 130 cm height from a cluster of shallow roots,with pink color flowers.It mainly found in road sides ,waste lands ,paddy fields,river bank ,weed in maize, cow pea and millet fields.
