PRANA MUDRA Our body is made up of five basic elements (panchabootha) - water, fire, air, space and earth which are represented by our hand fingers in our body. Most of us would have seen Mudras using fingers in some form or the other, either in dance poses or in yogic and meditation postures. Today we will see about Prana Mudra. Procedure Prana Mudra is done by joining the tip of little finger and ring finger with the tip of thumb in both hands leaving other fingers in a straight position. This has to be for 20 to 30 minutes. This mudra can be performed either in normal sitting position ( sugasana ) or padmasana or even tadasana . Eyes need to closed while practicing this mudra. TADA ASANA   Tada  Asana is called Samasthiti Asana ,which means standing firmly without moving .It is look like a palm tree .Tada Asana is a pose where one stands firm and erect as a  mountain .This asana is a basic position  for all Asanas . JATHARA PARIVARTANASANA  Jathara means stomach or abdomen ,parivartan means revolving ,turning . Steps to do - Lie down on a mat with straight spine ,legs together and arms extended straight out from your shoulders and palms up .  - Exhale and placing  your left foot on your right knee . - Inhale and lift your hip from the floor . -  Exhale and sliding your hip slightly backward to your left ,twist into your outer right side hip ,while gently pulling your left knee towards the floor with the help of your right hand . - Inhale and lengthening the posture making one line from heel head  -   Exhale turn your head and look towards your left hand side . - Stay this this position for some seconds . - And then inhale your breath return to center position and extending your legs ,aligned . - Do it for both sides . SASANKASANA (HARE POSE)  Steps to do: Sit in Vajrasana . Slowly raise your arms over the head while exhaling slowly bend forward . Stretch the palms on the floor with abdomen pressing against the thighs . Then bring the face downwards and touch the floor with the fore head without raising the buttocks . Breathing should be slow and then come back to the normal position . Repeat this for 5 to 6 times . '' Tri'' means three,' Kona' means angle. '  This standing asana is the extended triangle pose .so it called trikonasana.
