3rd INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY 2017
International yoga day is celebrated on June 21st throughout the world since the year 2015. Our prime minister Narendra Modi gave an impactful speech about yoga on September 27th 2014 at United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) and for this reason 21st June was celebrated as International Yoga Day. This day also has it's own speciality as this is the longest day of the year in Northern hemisphere (summer solstice).
Yoga originated in the period of Rig Veda and became an important part of Indian culture and civilization. The word yoga itself means union of the individual consciousness or soul with universal consciousness or spirit. Yoga is a group of physical, mental and spiritual practices which makes the body, mind healthy.
Regular practices of yoga will help to

- improve immunity
- improve memory
- maintain blood pressure and cardiac function.
- improve every system in the body
- prevent metabolic disorders
- prevent and cure hormonal imbalances
- get relief from all respiratory problems like bronchitis,asthma

- get rid off cervical spondilosis, lower back pain

- get calm and brisk mind
- improve life expectancy of the individual

- activate the seven chakkra in our body viz. (mooladhara, swadhisthana, manipuraka, anagatham, vishudhi, agna, sahasrakara)
- make spinal card flexible which results in younger appearance
Yoga mudras and simple yogasanas will help one to live long and healthy life for about 120 years. Yogic practitioners in ancient ages have lived hundreds of years through the regular practices of yoga.
